Pipe Organ Restoration Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 16,

7:00 pm in the Parish Hall.  All are welcome.

 

Voter’s Meeting – Sunday, October 21 at 1:30 pm – Meeting Agenda items will include Dual Parish Agreement updates, Recommendation for Church Funds, and Quarterly Maintenance Report.

 

Zion Ladies Aid Chili Supper - Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, Altamont, IL with serving to begin at 4:30 p.m. Menu is chili, chicken noodle soup, bar-b-q, hot dogs, pies, desserts. Cost is a free will donation. Come enjoy good food and fellowship at Zion Lutheran Church, 5534 E 600th Ave, Altamont.

Donations to the Pipe Organ Restoration Fund should be above and beyond your weekly contribution to Bethlehem’s operating needs. If you wish to contribute to the fund, please write on the envelope “Pipe Organ Restoration Fund”, members should include their envelope number.

Also, if you wish to donate in honor of someone or in honor of an occasion please specify on the envelope. Prayerfully consider donating to the Pipe Organ Restoration Fund as we thank God for the blessing of music.

 

Volunteer for the important role of Church Greeter. Church greeters welcome fellow members and guests to our church and provide them with the order of service and bulletin. All

 members of all ages are welcome and encouraged to volunteer as a Church Greeter. A sign-up sheet posted with a list of church services, giving you the opportunity to choose one or several

 services, is located on the bulletin board in the narthex. Thank you.


 

 

 

 ALIS will continue to collect plastic bags. During the summer you may drop them off at the school Monday through Thursday or at one of the four churches. After 3 years and 2 months, ALIS

 has earned $2,520. Thank you to everyone for bringing bags. Also, a special “thank you” to the people who take the bags to Wal-Mart.

 

 

Plastic Bag Change: Walmart can only send plastic shopping bags to their recycler. They will not take our bags if they include plastic wrappers of any kind of shrink wrap. So please only

 send in plastic shopping bags (any color is fine, except black.)
 

S & W supermarket HY-Top (store brand) will give our school $50.00 for every 1,000 UPC labels turned in. Save the UPC bar code from all HY-Top products and put them in the

 container outside the school office. Along with the Boxtop and Campbell labels. Thank you for your help.

 

Reservations to schedule use of the Parish Hall needs to be made by calling the church office, to check the dates of reunions, weddings, wedding anniversaries, confirmations, etc.

 Reservations need to be scheduled by calling the office 618-483-6756 during office hours and leave a message, if no answer, and your call will be returned.
